Don’t tell anyone its listed in the recipe below (not shown in video- too much of a secret!) 🤣 Here’s the recipe that never fails: Sambal Tumis Bodo 0 from 0 votes Cuisine: AsianDifficulty: Easy Servings10servingsPrep time15minutesCooking time15minutes Ingredients 3 tbsp chili paste (from dried chilies, soaked & blended)6 shallots (blended)3 cloves garlic (blended)1/2 inch belachan (SECRET INGREDIENT!)1 ½ tbsp tamarind paste (mixed with 2 tbsp warm water)1 ½ tbsp sugar (adjust to taste) Salt to taste • 1 small onion, thinly sliced4 tbsp oil Directions Heat oil in a pan. Add chili paste and sauté until oil separates and it darkens.Add blended shallots and garlic. Cook until aromatic and lightly caramelized. Add in *SECRET INGREDIENTStir in sugar and let it melt into the sambal.Add tamarind paste and mix well. Simmer a few minutes.Season with salt.
