Ingredients

  • 450 g dried red beans

  • 3.5 cups water

  • 5 grams dried orange peel

  • 1 cup vegetable oil (250 ml)

  • 190 grams rock sugar

  • A pinch of salt

Directions

  • Cook beans with water in a pressure cooker for 45 mins.
  • Drain and leave to cool before blitzing into a puree.
  • In a wok, heat oil, red bean puree, sugar and salt together until it becomes thick.
  • Leave to cool.
