Ingredients

  • 1 packet soft tofu

  • 80 g tempeh, roughly crushed

  • 2 scallions, roughly sliced

  • 3 dates, pitted and sliced thinly

  • 1 bird’s eye chilly, sliced

  • 1 tsp vegetarian oyster sauce

  • 2 tsp soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Sugar and salt, to taste

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • White pepper

  • 1 tsp cornflour + 1 tbsp water

Directions

  • In a heatproof plate, steam tofu for 5 mins.
  • In a pan, sauté tempeh, scallions, dates and bird’s eye chillies with some oil. Add in all other ingredients and cook till thickens.
  • Pour cooked tempeh gravy onto tofu and sprinkle more scallions.
