Ingredients

  • For the tempeh:
  • 1 block tempeh, cut into cubes

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp curry powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • For the green sambal:
  • 5 large green chillies

  • 2 -3 green bird’s eyes chillies

  • 4 shallots

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • oil

  • Lime juice

  • Salt and sugar to taste

Directions

  • Toss tempeh with curry powder, salt, pepper and oil. Fry or cook in an air fryer till crispy.
  • Steam all the ingredients for the green sambal till soft. Blitz the ingredients till you get a rough paste. Sauter the paste in oil until fragrant. Season with lime juice, salt and sugar.
  • Pour sambal ingredients onto cooked tempeh.
