Crispy and delicious tempeh cooked in savoury sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion, sliced

  • 1 inch Ginger, sliced

  • 2 Garlic, sliced

  • 2 stalks of curry leaves

  • 5 Dates, seeded and cut into small pieces

  • 1 tablespoon curry powder, dissolved in water

  • 1 tablespoon crackling

  • Brown sugar

  • Water

  • Salt to taste

  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Directions

  • Heat the oil and fry the onion, ginger, and garlic until fragrant.
  • Add curry leaves and dates and saute again.
  • Add curry powder and crackle. Season with brown sugar and add water.
  • Add the fried tempeh. Mix well and season with salt to taste.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves before serving.
