Ingredients

  • String Beans Sambal
  • 1 pound trimmed green beans

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 100 grams peanuts, roasted & salted

  • Salt, sugar and pepper, to taste

  • Spice paste (blend well)
  • 8 dried chillies, soaked in warm water for 15 mins

  • big onion

  • 5 shallots

  • 2 garlic cloves

Directions

  • In a pan, heat oil and sauter spice paste till “pecah minyak”.
  • Add in garlic dan ginger, cook till fragrant.
  • Add in string beans, soy sauce and sesame oil. Cook till string beans are tender. (Add water if too dry)
  • Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Serve with crushed toasted peanuts.
