Spicy Smashed Potatoes with Mango Chilli Sauce

At the recent plant based conference I attended, they said people wanted taste and texture, so of course I’m gonna serve it!

Spicy Smashed Potatoes with Mango Chilli Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 pounds (450g) small yellow potatoes

  • 1 teaspoons sea salt, divided

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, more for the pans

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley

Directions

  • Boil potatoes for about 15 mins or till tender.
  • Place on a lined baking tray and smash with a measuring cup or heavy bottom glass. (Or a pot if your potatoes are bigger)
  • Drizzle with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, chilli powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 30 mins or till crispy. Serve with mango chilli sauce!
