Ingredients

  • Ingredient A
  • 7 screwpine leaves

  • 1 1/2 cups water

  • Ingredient B
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour

  • 1/3 cup rice flour

  • A little bit of green colouring

  • Other
  • Date Jam ( see previous recipe)

  • 1/2 cup grated coconut flakes

  • A pinch of salt

Directions

  • Cool date jam in freezer till hard enough to be shaped.
  • Blend ingredient A and pass through a sieve. Pour sifted liquid into Ingredient B bit by bit till a dough is formed. Take about ½ tbsp of the dough, flatten and place a little bit of date jam in the centre. Roll into balls.
  • Cook in boiling water till the balls float. Coat with coconut flakes that has been mixed with salt.
