Ingredients

  • Ingredients A
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast

  • 1 1/4 cup warm milk of choice

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • Ingredients B
  • 1/2 cup mashed potatoes

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter of choice

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 egg

  • 4 1/2 cups bread flour

  • 2 tablespoons butter of choice melted

Directions

  • In a bowl mix all ingredients A and set aside for 10 mins.
  • In a mixer using a hook attachment, mix all ingredients B together. Add ingredients A and mix well. Add flour bit by bit till you get a soft dough.
  • Knead till elastic and no longer sticking on the sides of the bowl of the mixer (6-8 mins). Cover with a damp cloth and leave to rise for 45 mins.
  • Punch down and divide in balls of 90g. Place in a greased baking tray and cover with a damp cloth. Leave to rise for another 45 mins.
  • Brush with butter and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 mins or till golden brown.
