Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups bread flour

  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats

  • 1 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast (7g)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup water (warm)

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • ¼ cup shredded carrots

  • 2 tablespoons plant based butter

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix honey, water and yeast. Leave aside.
  • Mix bread flour, whole wheat flour and oats with salt. Mix in yeast mixture, melted butter and knead till a soft dough is formed. Leave to rest covered with a damp cloth for 1 hour.
  • Punch down the dough and roll out and brush butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon, and grated carrots. Roll, cut and place in loaf tin as seen in the video. Brush with egg wash (optional).
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 20 mins or till golden brown.
