Ingredients

  • 1 block block tofu

  • Oil, to fry

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tsp minced ginger

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey

  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp pineapple

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp water

  • Pineapple bits

  • Toasted sesame seeds, to garnish

  • Sliced green onions, to garnish

  • Sriracha, to taste if desired

Directions

  • Place cut tofu onto paper towels and leave to dry for 15 mins.
  • Coat tofu with oil and cook in an airfryer till crispy or deep fry in hot oil.
  • For the sauce, heat some oil in a small pot. Sauter garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add in all other ingredients and cook until thickened. Fold in pineapple bits.
  • Pour sauce over tofu. Garnished with toasted sesame and green onions.
