Ingredients

  • 120 g butter, cold and cut into cubes

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp orange oil

  • Fresh edible flowers

Directions

  • Put the sugar and butter into a food processor and pulse to combine completely.
  • Add the flour, orange oil and vanilla and pulse about 10 times, then run the machine briefly, just until the dough comes together into a lump or lumps. Using your hands clump into a soft dough.
  • Place between two parchment paper to roll out into 1/4 inch thickness. Leave to cool in the fridge for about 2 hours.
  • In the meantime, place flowers between two sheets of baking paper and weigh down with a tray.
  • Cut into 2 inch cookies and place onto a lined baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 190C for 7-8 mins. As soon as you take the cookies out of the oven, gently press the flowers onto the surface of the cookies. Leave to cool.
