Ingredients 1/2 cup jasmine rice6 Dried shitake mushrooms2 cups hot water2 1/2 cups vegetable broth2 inches Ginger, sliced2 cloves Garlic, chopped1 small spoon of salt7 Dates, seeded and slicedtoppings fried onions Onions youtiao Directions Soak shitake mushrooms in hot water until soft. Recommended to soak overnight.In a pot, saute ginger and garlic until fragrant. Add all other ingredients. Let it boil and simmer until it becomes porridge.Serve with toppings of choice.
