Ingredients
Ingredients A
500gramswheat flour
600mlwater
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1teaspoonsalt
1teaspooncaster sugar
1teaspoonbicarbonate of soda
Ingredients B
2tablespoonsroasted larvae
1largeonion, thinly sliced
3smallshallots, thinly sliced
2stalks of red chili, thinly sliced
1carrot, thinly sliced
A fewgreen onions, roughly chopped
Directions
In a mixer/blender, mix all ingredients A until well incorporated.
Mix in all ingredients B.
Heat the oil until it reaches a temperature of 175C.
Pour 1 spoonful of the mixture in the oil and let it cook until crisp. Repeat until the mixture is used up. You can cook several ladlefuls of batter at the same time but make sure not to overfill the wok.
