Ingredients
1kgsustainably farmed chicken thighs
Marinade
1/4cupgranulated white sugar
2teaspoonssalt
1/2teaspoonfive spice powder
1/4teaspoonwhite pepper
1/2teaspoonsesame oil
1tablespoonsoy sauce
1tablespoonhoisin sauce
1/8teaspoonred food coloring (optional)
3clovesfinely minced garlic
4tablespoonshoney
1tablespoonhot water
Directions
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
Toss with chicken thighs and leave to marinate overnight.
Heat oven to 250C.
Roast with oven setting at 250C for the first 10 minutes of roasting, and then reduce your oven temperature to (190 C). After 25 minutes, flip the chicken thighs. Turn the oven to 180 degrees to ensure even roasting. Roast another 15 minutes.
