Ingredient A
2tbspbread flour
2tbspwater
4tbspmilk
Ingredient B
70gramssugar
120mlmilk
1tbspyeast
Ingredient C
320gramsbread flour
1tbspblue pea powder
1tspsalt

1egg
3tbspbutter
Egg wash
Gula melaka caramel
50ggula melaka, grated
20gbutter of choice
90mlcoconut milk
A pinch of salt
Directions
Heat ingredients A till thickened. Set aside.
Mix ingredients B together and set aside.
Sift ingredients C together. Add in ingredients B and egg. Mix well. Add ingredients A which has been cooled down. Mix well.
Once you get a soft dough, continue kneading adding 1 tbsp of butter at a time. Leave to rise for 45 mins with a damp cloth.
Punch down and divide to 9 balls of 56g. Place in a greased baking tray. And cover with damp cloth and leave to rise for another 30-45 mins or till double their original size.
Coat with a layer of egg wash. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 20-25 mins or till golden brown.
In a pot, heat butter and gula melaka together. Add coconut milk while stirring until you get a thick consistency. Add in salt. Drizzle over baked buns.
