Ingredients

  • Marinade
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder

  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder

  • 1 tablespoon cardamom powder

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 2 teaspoons paprika

  • A pinch of salt

  • Black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

  • Orange juice/water, in case of dryness when cooked

  • Yogurt sauce
  • 1 cup greek yogurt

  • 1 clove garlic, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder

  • A little lemon juice

  • Salt and black pepper

  • To serve
  • Pita bread, lettuce, and tomato slices

Directions

  • Marinate the grated banana peel in a mixture of marinade ingredients for at least 3 hours.
  • Grill the banana peel on a flat pan or grill that is greased with oil. Reduce heat and cook until soft enough. (About 30min). Add orange juice if dry.
  • Mix well all the sauce ingredients. Serve the cooked banana peel over the warmed pita, sauce, lettuce and tomato.
