Ingredients

  • 1 banana blossom, cleaned and sliced

  • 1/2 cup anchovies (ikan bilis), toasted

  • 2.5 red onion, sliced thinly

  • 2-3 long beans, sliced thinly

  • 1 lemongrass, sliced thinly

  • A handful of coriander leaves, chopped

  • shredded fresh coconut

  • Salt, Sugar and lime juice, to taste

  • Spice paste
  • 3 shallots

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1 inch ginger

  • 2-3 bird’s eye chillies

  • 2 tbsp anchovies, toasted

Directions

  • In boiling water, blanch banana blossoms till tender.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Place all ingredients in a large bowl and toss with spice paste which has been blended smooth.
