Ingredients
400gred apples, peeled and cored
30g(2 tbsp) unsalted butter
65g(1/3 cup) raisins
**Pre-Mix A
1tbsp(30g) brown sugar
1tsp(3g) salt
1/2tspground cinnamon
Other
1tbsp(15g) cornflour
1packetpuff pastry (500g)
1egg, lightly beaten
Icing sugar, for dusting
Directions
Preheat oven to 200C and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
In a pan, melt butter and sautee apples, raisins & Pre-Mix A. Cook till tender adding a little water if it’s too dry. Add cornflour and cook till thickened. Leave to cool.
Put about 2 tablespoons of apple mixture onto each pastry square and fold over. Press edges with the back of a fork to seal. Place turnovers onto the prepared trays. Brush them lightly with beaten egg.
Bake for 15-20 mins, until golden brown. Dust apple puffs with icing sugar and serve warm at room temperature.
